Americana!

Happy 4th of July!!! We have already had a weekend of fun, but our fun will continue today with a family barbeque at the in-laws...woooohooo! If you are looking for a little scrappy fun to celebrate your 4th of July fun, Kraft Outlet has posted a new challenge. This week's challenge is to create a project with a Patriotic or Americana theme. Here is a look at my project...

Brotherly Love

For my layout I used a mix of Jenni Bowlin's paper and embellishments. The red, navy, and white colors really POP against the Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock. To add to the homespun look of my layout, I, of course, added Blue Baker's Twine around the cardstock, in the button, and around the body of the corrugated butterfly. And to the beautiful gold Jenni Bowlin butterfly, I added a couple of Jenni Bowlin Garnet Stick Pins.

To play along with this challenge, check out the post HERE. Hope you have a great holiday!

It is Make it Monday at the Kraft Outlet Blog. And this week's challenge is Something Old, Something New...anyway...anyhow. And for me, I instantly thought WEDDING! Here is a look at my project...

Congratulations Wedding Card
For the base of the card, I used Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock. I added a beautiful wedding cake embellishment, and topped it off with threaded button of Green Baker's Twine. I also added 2 sweet Jenni Bowlin Antique Stick Pins.

The Perfect Bow!

Hi there! Right at this very second I am sitting in Long Island, New York visiting my little sister. It is quiet, I have no mouths to feed, and no laundry to wash....sigh. I am in heaven....well, kinda. I am already missing my hubby and my rug rats!! I think a mani and pedi might just do the trick, what do you think?

Anyhoo, wanna learn how to make this...

Yesterday was my day to do the tutorial at the Kraft Outlet blog...you can find the directions HERE. And how about that paper? LOVE Cosmo Cricket's Upcycle!! My sweet friend Lisa from Right at Home Scrapbooking sent it to me to play with, and it was just the perfect color combo for a little girl's birthday!

Thanks for stopping by and see ya soon!

A New Week...A New Challenge!

Good morning, and it is time for a new Kraft Outlet Challenge! This Sunday we ALL will be celebrating Father's Day, and like you would expect, this week's theme is Father's Day!! Here is a look at my project...

Father's Day Gift Card Holder

For this week's challenge, I created a gift card holder for my hubby for Father's Day. I used Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock to create the card, and used 7 Gypsies Abvignon Patterned Paper Tape to decorate the flap. And to hold the card together, I used Brown Baker's Twine. On the inside, I used a Library Pocket with the sentiment, "Happy Father's Day," to hold the gift card.

If you would like to play along this week, and try your hand at winning $15 to the Kraft Outlet, you can find the deets HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Monday!!

It's a Guy Thing!

Happy Monday! And that means it is challenge time at the Kraft Journal. This week's challenge is "It's a Guy Thing!" And to me that means....blue, outside fun, sports...anything that screams G-U-Y!!! I created a layout using Jillibean Soup's Dutch Mustard Soup, this month's sketch created by the talented Julie Bonner, and some Kraft Journal goodies! Take a look...

You Have My Heart

Cute sketch, huh? I used Brown Baker's Twine, Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock, and a White Post Card Shipping Tag to create this layout that explains just how much my husband means to me.

Kraft Outlet Monday...on Tuesday!

Hiya! I made a boo-boo. This post was supposed to have posted yesterday, but I realized last night that I actually had it scheduled to post on Monday of next week! So much for trying to be prepared! Anyhoo, another FUN week has begun at the Kraft Journal blog! The challenge this week is Stand and Salute. Here is my interpretation...

Let Freedom Swing

For this challenge, I created a layout that explains what freedom means to me...for my children to live full, happy lives! This would not at all be possible without our branches of servicemen. I used the Jenni Bowlin Be Our Guest Collection, which worked perfectly with TONS of goodies from the Kraft Outlet! For the sweet banner, I used the Jenni Bowlin Flag Pieces, Jenni Bowlin Flag Banner Stickers, and Blue Baker's Twine to pull it all together. I also used a bit of the Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock to make my title. And to add a bit of interest to the embellishment cluster on the right side of my layout, I used 2 Small Kraft Shipping Tags to add a bit of interest!

If you would like to join us and win a bit of Kraft Outlet goodies, check out the post HERE! Thanks for stopping by!

Challenge #18 at Kraft Outlet

Well it is week 2 of my stint at Kraft Outlet, and I am having a ball! This week's challenge is buttons and bows, and I tried to push the limits with this challenge. Take a look...

Surfer Dude

Buttons and bows may seem like a girlie challenge, but I tried to take the challenge a step further and created a project that screams BOY! I used a Large Kraft Shipping Tag to ground the sun and journaling strips. I topped the tag off with a piece of masculine ribbon that coordinates with the patterned paper. I also used Baker's Twine and wrapped it around my layout, and topped it off with BUTTONS AND A BOW!

Happy Monday and thanks for stopping by!

Just in Time for Mother's Day!

Hi friends! Just making a quick stop today to share my most recent Kraft Outlet project. There is LOTS of fun going on at Kraft Outlet this month...a new blog look, Pinky is visiting as the guest designer, challenges, and prizes...FUN!! This week's theme is "Mother's Day" and here is a look at what I created...

Mom Gift Bag

My gift bag was created using a Kraft Coffee Bag from Kraft Outlet. To create the peek-a-boo hole, I just cut a hole with a circle cutter and added a transparency. Then I decorated the bag with homemade flowers using Imaginisce's Enchanted Collection. And to top it off, I used a Small Kraft Shipping Tag.

If you would like to join in on this challenge, you can check out the deets HERE. Thanks for stopping by!
