Such a Neat Idea!!

Hi there. Hope you had a great weekend. We had a great time Friday night watching our Tigers win the Cotton Bowl, but totally disappointed to watch our Saints lose in the first round of playoff games...bummer! I managed to get a good bit of scrapping done though. All of which I will share with you this week.

I have been holding out a bit on a piece of interesting information. The talented Anam Stubbington of My Mind's Eye, Prima, and Twisted Sketches developed a IPhone Sketch App...genius, right? Sketches 2 Scrapbook!!! It is soooo cool. Apple describes it as "A Scrapbooking Sketch application that will allow you to think creatively on the go with over 100 unique sketches and layouts to keep you inspired." Here are a few pics...

The App Front Page
A few of the super fab layouts...that is me in the top center!!
Pretty cool, huh? And here are my layouts from the App...

Country Girl

Lovin' Life

There are 2 versions: a FREE Lite Version with 12 sketches in it for everyone to demo the app, and a FULL version with another 104 sketches for the low price of $4.99 (US Dollars) - the FULL version also gets you the sketches from the free version...so a total of 116 sketches at your fingertips!!!

And a little FYI...round 2 is in the works, and a BIG surprise. Sorry, that is all I can say. You can check out all of the latest news HERE at the blog. Once you are there, you will find all of the links you need in the sidebar. Also, Anam is very, very generous. She has already given away dozens of freebies on the blog and Facebook fan page...go check it out!!

Happy Monday, and thanks for stopping by!!

Playing Catch Up and a Call for Layouts!!!

Hiya ladies! I think I have a "Catch Up" post every month! Well, like everyone, the holidays bring on a "To do" list a mile long for me! Right now on my list I have about 5 parties this week to prepare for, shopping for the big day, scrappy work, house work...shew! And like that is not enough, I have bigger fish to fry...Vivi informed me this morning that she just has to know Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer by "Fursday" or she will not be the best singer at the Christmas program. She says that she will let Santa down if she is not the best!! And Brock says that he needs to go shopping to buy me a BIG diamond ring because we are going on a date Friday. These are some serious things that need to be on my "To do" list, right? And Brock's request just moved to top priority...I love kids!

Anyhoo, how about some scrappy sharing? Here are my first set of layouts for my returning spot with My Little Bit of Whimsy...

Bottoms Up!

Heavens to Betsy that booty...I could just pinch it! And I did not even mean to take this pic...love when that happens! On this layout I used an assortment of MLBOW textured cloud buttons. They are super fun!

Sunday Funday

It has been awhile since I have used a bit of Sassafras, and it was just what I needed for Steph's textured buttons and ladybug stick pin!

And I must share my Creative Scrappers layout using sketch #134...

The Joy U Bring

And last, but certainly not least...

I need your layouts using doilies for the February edition of ScrapStreet.com Magazine!! If you think you have one that fits this call, email me at frances@scrapstreet.com!

Hope you are having a super Monday...chat soon!!

Potato Sack Race with Adornit!!

Hello there...again! It is day 3 of the Adornit Blog Hop, and today we are featuring the Pink Hoot Collection! This collection is whimsical, fun, so vibrant, and bright! Here is a look at my layout using this oh so sweet line...

Thinking Inside the Box

The wooden hearts that you see actually came with the HOME wooden letters that I used to create my Christmas wall art from yesterday. Adornit also has tons of wooden pieces to alter. Anyhoo, the hearts were just perfect for this layout about my silly kiddos.

Would you like to have Adornit's Pink Hoot Collection? Well, all you have to do is leave a comment on each of the designer's blogs (including mine), and finish up with a comment at the Adornit blog. Your name will then be entered into a drawing where one lucky chickie will win a super fab Pink Hoot prize package!!

Here is a look at today's Potato Sack Race line-up. And if you haven't started at the beginning, don't worry you can pop back to the top of the list and visit those blogs you've missed. Don't forget to finish up at the Adornit blog and let them know what you think!!

I may be in a rut...

...but a good one! It is no secret that I love Cosmo Cricket. And working with the Togetherness Collection for November has certainly proven to be a great time. I think as of today I have made 3 single layouts, 1 double, and those stinkin' cute turkeys! Well here is may last, very last layout using Togetherness.

Big Sis

As you can see, there is not on piece of patterned paper on this layout. I used just the tag piece of patterned paper because it is simply all that I had left! I know, why not use another line? Well, because the whimsy of this line is just perfect for this sweet pic of my oldest and youngest kiddo!

But....you will be happy to know that I have finally moved on! Not very far though...Mitten Weather!!!! Shocker! I think I love it just as much as Togetherness!! Here is a look at Right at Home's December Sketch and my layout using it!
