A New Tradition and a few Scrappy Shares!

Good morning! It's Tuesday! And counting today, I have 4 days of work left until I get off for 2 solid weeks!!! Whoot! Whoot! I need it! Anyhoo, I wanted to share a NEW tradition I have started at my house. This year we are celebrating the 12 days of Christmas! Every morning from now to Christmas, my kiddos will wake up to a little prize on the kitchen table. Here is day 1...

And here's the list of the goodies and sentiments for the 12 days of Christmas if you would like to give it a try!

1. $1.00--Here's a $1 for snack to keep your belly full like Santas!
2. Toothbrush--To keep your smile shiny and bright!
3. Candy--To sweetin' you up for Christmas!
4. Lip gloss or Chapstick--To keep your lips moist when we are out and about!
5. Socks--To keep your tootsies warm on cold days!
6. Christmas Coloring Book--Christmas is always colorful!
7. Christmas Ornament--To remember Christmas 2011!
8. McDonald's Gift Certificate--For the family to have a dinner date...Christmas is about spending time together!
9. Hot Chocolate--For those cold December nights!
10. Picture Frame--To remember our Christmas memories!
11. Heart shape candy--To remember that we love you and you will always be in our heart!
12. Peppermint Candy Cane--Turn it upside down and now you should see a "J." This should remind you of the true meaning of Christmas and how much Jesus loves you!

You-hoo...Mojo Where are You?

Yep, it's been missing...yours? When things get crazy busy around here, the first thing to go is my creativity. I hate it, but it's true. School started about 2 weeks ago, and we are finally getting it together. For me, the more I get organized, the better I sleep at night! I've got ALL of my calendars up to date...the family calendar, the meal plan, and the cleaning calendar. Uh-ha I'm set! One place I visit regularly for encouragement is Clean Mama. Do you have her in your sidebar? Well you should! She's just a mama trying to keep it together...just like me! And if you are "list" kinda girl like me, she has some of the best printables to stay organized!

Yummo! Gotta love some My Mind's Eye!! This is MME's Stella & Rose Mabel...shew. LOVE IT! I actually shrank the sketch a bit, to make it work with my one, lonely photo. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out!

And if that is not enough MME for ya, I decided to play along with the Sketch Challenge this month at the MME Blog. Here is a look at this month's sketch...

What a cutie that turkey is, right? LOL!! I used a mixture of MME's Hip-Hooray and Fine & Dandy Tickled Pink...they work perfectly together! Well, wish me luck because I'm gonna need it! The competition over there is thick!!!!

...that I made the Inspired Blueprints Design Team!!! Holy Goodness I am excited!! I just love it over there. I have been a fan of IB for awhile now, and was just too chicken to try out before. But this time I worked up the nerve, threw caution to the wind, and JUMPED...and MADE IT!! Here is a look at Sketch #71 and my very 1st layout...

Busy, Busy and Some Right at Home Stuff!

Well hello! I know, long time no see! We have been sooo crazy busy. Let's see...just this past week we played 9 softball games and had a total of 7 additional practices! No kidding...9 games and 7 practices!!!! I knew my calendar looked a mess, but seeing the numbers on my computer screen makes me want to go right back to bed! So, needless to say we are tired...real tired! The girls had a great time, and so did Brock. He is the only one of the clan that is not playing this year, but believe you me has BIG plans for this season. He is on a mission to consume as many packs of Skittles he can get his HOT, sweaty hands on. He has also developed quite a thing for blue snow cones...I'll post a few pics soon!

Good morning ladies! It is Spring break here at my house, which means that I am totally relaxing and eating bon-bons. Yea-right!!!! It is busy, busy. We still have softball practice, house cleaning, and meals...it never stops! I am having a bit of fun this morning hanging out at my BFF Aphra's house with our kiddos, and yes, a bit of scrapping!!

Happy Saturday!!!!!!! WoooooHoooo! I am so super excited that it is the weekend. We are actually out ALL of next week for Spring Break...Mardi Gras for us here in Louisiana. Just wanted to stop in a share the March Sketch and my layout using the new 3 Bugs in a Rug Dawson. Love it!! Take a look...

I used a few pics of my little man jumping on his new toddler bed that was gifted from the Bolyers. Thanks Bolyer family! ;) The Dawson Collection was just perfect for my little one growling at the camera and bouncing up and down!

Ok, So I'm Playing Catch Up Again!

Is it ok to say that I have been having my boo-tay handed to me! I'm not sure if everyone knows this adage, but it means I am running here, there, and everywhere. The kids have started basketball, and we are having tons of fun with that...no, really I mean it. They are loving it, and Brock is loving the fact that we constantly keep his popcorn bag full. No, it is not because he needs a snack for a few hours or that he is REALLY hungry, it is purely a coping mechanism for Chris and I.

We are also getting ready for high stakes testing here in Louisiana...sigh. Not only for my kiddos that I teach, but Annalise too. She is super nervous, but doing very well. She is attending tutoring twice a week, and wow...just, lots to do.

Anyhoo, I do have a few scrappy things to share. First up, the February Sketch from Right at Home. Take a look...

I used the lovely Socialite Collection by Bella Blvd...love it!! I REALLY love the die cuts. Bella Blvd. has a 12 X 12 die cut paper, and it is oh so yummy! Here is another layout from January at Right at Home...

Lots of pictures, huh? I was really feeling the need to be done with these Christmas pictures. It was pretty easy to create. Once I got the grid of pictures and patterned paper figured out, all I had to do was embellish was a few spaces.

And last, but certainly not least, remember the Sketches2Scrapbook I-Phone App? Well the first release was such a success, that Anam Stubbington released a Winter edition. You can find the deets HERE.

Merry Belated Christmas and Happy Belated New Year!!

I have missed you guys...no really! Like you can obviously tell, I have been on a little bloggy hiatus. Things get a tad busy around here. First we had to prepare for Santa's visit, and then he left, leaving three-fourths of Target on my living room floor! Here are a couple of pics from our fabulous holiday...

We brought in the New Year quietly with "2011" pancakes on the morning of January 1st...what a treat!

I sure hope that you had a wonderful holiday! We did, but it came and went too quickly. We are now back at school and it is full steam ahead!!
