Hello World!!

"Hello World!" because it has been awhile since I have posted. We are officially moved in and loving it! I have lots to share so grab a cup of coffee, it's a long post...oh wait!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

This is actually a photo that we took before going to church on Christmas Eve, but aren't we just adorable? I have soooo much to be thankful for in 2010! Again...Happy Holidays!

First off...here is my last So Sketchy! layout. Allison Cope lived up to the expectations till the last sketch. I am really sad to see her go. You can check the out the sketch HERE and she has also extended the contest deadline till January 15th...so get busy!

December is also my last month at Mosh Posh and goodness I loved the last kit I got to work with. So, just layouts were not enough! I ended up creating another banner. It was just sweet on our new mantle!

I have also been working on my December design team projects for Right At Home...fun, fun!! I was able to work with 2 different lines this month, which I think fueled my creativity! I completed the first 2 layouts using My Little Shoebox Little Ladies and Whoo Loves You? Collections, and for the last layout and card, I used My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas Collection. Take a look...

A Sketch With 6 Photos...I'm not kidding!

I'm gonna miss ya Mosh Posh...sniff...sniff...

...sniff...sniff...I have always been a Mosh Posh lover. And when I made the Creative Memories jump, Mosh Posh was where I found my first bit of inspiration. I was a longtime member and follower, and I felt grateful and honored when I was asked to join the design team. But with a heavy heart and all of the changes going on right now in my life, I decided not to apply for the next term. But...but, but, but, when things settle down, I will give it another try! Well, here is my last kit reveal for awhile...hopefully. The December kit...oh, the glorious December kit! It is just beautiful...take a look.

Now, doesn't that make you cheerful? I just enjoyed this kit. October Afternoon is totally one of my faves and all of the other goodies just complemented it so well...fabulous job Kristen! Here are my layouts...

So Campy! Another a la Carte Challenge

A new challenge is up and going at a la Carte, and it is sure to get you into the Thanksgiving spirit. It is the wonderful time of year when the air is crisp, the leaves have changed, and fireplaces are crackling. Here in Louisiana the humidity has lifted and the mosquitos are finally gone, which means we can enjoy the outdoors again. How better to enjoy the outdoors than go to camping. Mmmm.....s'mores and weenies. This month's menu beckons us to put up the tent, build a fire, and sing "Kumbaya."

Take a look at the November Menu:

1. Use orange and brown.
2. Use woodgrain.
3. Use fabric.
4. Use something with wings.
5. Use a toilet paper roll.
6. Use song lyrics in your title.

And my take on the challenge...

"Thankful 2 Have You"

These are some November 2008 pics of my sweet daughter #3 at her pre-school. They always invite family and friends to a hearty meal of homeade vegetable soup and sandwiches...Yum! Yum! I am so thankful for these moments. Happy Scrapping!

All Done...

...with my Right at Home Halloween projects! Lisa sent me a ginormous package last month full of Right at Home goodies, and one of the kits was the My Mind's Eye Halloween Line, Boo To You! It is stinkin' cute! ...So...I have officially finished scrapping all of my Halloween pics from this year...yea...you heard me...October 31, 2009! Wanna know how? A Halloween mini-album! I know this is certainly no big secret to most of you, but this is actually my first mini-album and I am HOOKED! Take a look...

Goodness...isn't that already some ca-ute stuff? There it is the adorable My Mind's Eye Halloween Line, Boo to You! For my mini-album, I decided to tell the story of my kiddo's Halloween night. So what better to begin with than..."Once Upon a Time". Turn the page...

..."There was a beautiful devil, a "mimja" with a hunting truck, a sassy witch, and a cute pirate!" With this layout, I used the die cut sheet to the max...I created a scene. Turn the page...

..."And they went on a hayride with their family and friends!" I think this is actually my favorite layout. I just cut strips of patterned paper a tad longer than the size of my pages (6 X 6) and tried to make them look sort of like a quilt, hand stitched in a couple of places, and made some yummy lollipop flowers. Go ahead...turn the page...

..."1st stop...Witch Way to Main Street." This is a tradition in our town. In Natchitoches, LA we are known for our festivities on Front Street or "Main Street." The town is most known for the annual Christmas Festival, but the Halloween festivities are certainly taking a close 2nd. So, we always have to make a stop to visit with our friends, trick-or-treat at the local shops, and dance in the street! With this layout I tried my hand at a few yo-yo flowers...fun, fun, fun! Keep turning...

..."They ate tons of candy..." I just love some paper piecing! And turn again...

..."They passed the time telling ghost stories..." I think this was my favorite piece of patterned paper. It was a precious lime green with spider webs covering it. My favorite...the little spiders hanging. Almost there...

..."And they ended the night with PIZZA!" What a long night! One more time...

Just One More Post...sniff

I don't know if you have heard, but So Sketchy! will be no more as of December 31st...I am so sad. I have been following Allison Cope's sketch blog for awhile now, and felt completely honored to be chosen as a So Sketchy Sista! Well, after today's post I will officially have one more post for December. She has decided to design a sketch per designer...one last hoorah I guess...sniff, sniff.

I am just loving this double-page layout! If you took a look at the sketch, you found that it was actually a single page sketch. But to be able to make the embellishments, by My Little Bit of Whimsy, and patterned paper coordinate, I needed to use these Easter pics of my kiddos.

I have used this paper by October Afternoon soooooo many times, but I just can't get enough of it. I really liked the simplicity of this sketch, and it was great for these few leftover pics of a summer get together.

Oops! I forgot to post this sketch from last month. This is one of my most favorite layouts lately. I just love the colors and whimiscal feel of the layout. Also, do you see that pic...those girl's are too much! The pic was taken last year while we were in Baton Rouge for a dance competition. I had to put sponge rollers in the girl's hair for the competition the next day. They just looked plain adorable in the sponge rollers...don't ya think? I believe I am getting a glimpse of what they may look like when they are 65 years old.
