A New Tradition and a few Scrappy Shares!

Good morning! It's Tuesday! And counting today, I have 4 days of work left until I get off for 2 solid weeks!!! Whoot! Whoot! I need it! Anyhoo, I wanted to share a NEW tradition I have started at my house. This year we are celebrating the 12 days of Christmas! Every morning from now to Christmas, my kiddos will wake up to a little prize on the kitchen table. Here is day 1...

And here's the list of the goodies and sentiments for the 12 days of Christmas if you would like to give it a try!

1. $1.00--Here's a $1 for snack to keep your belly full like Santas!
2. Toothbrush--To keep your smile shiny and bright!
3. Candy--To sweetin' you up for Christmas!
4. Lip gloss or Chapstick--To keep your lips moist when we are out and about!
5. Socks--To keep your tootsies warm on cold days!
6. Christmas Coloring Book--Christmas is always colorful!
7. Christmas Ornament--To remember Christmas 2011!
8. McDonald's Gift Certificate--For the family to have a dinner date...Christmas is about spending time together!
9. Hot Chocolate--For those cold December nights!
10. Picture Frame--To remember our Christmas memories!
11. Heart shape candy--To remember that we love you and you will always be in our heart!
12. Peppermint Candy Cane--Turn it upside down and now you should see a "J." This should remind you of the true meaning of Christmas and how much Jesus loves you!

A Right at Home Share!

Hi ya! Just wanted to share a fun FALL layout and a TIP that I just posted at Right at Home Scrapbooking! I don't know about you, but this is the time of year where I begin to take a TON of photos...playing in the leaves, playing outside, Fall festivities...TONS!! Here is a double layout just perfect for a BUNCH of Fall photos!

Fun @ the Fall Carnival!

Supplies Used: Cardstock: Dark turquoise, gold, kraft, chocolate brown, white, and olive green, Patterned Paper: Bella Blvd. Finally Fall, Carstock Stickers: Bella Blvd. Finally Fall, Alphas: Bella Blvd. Finally Fall and American Crafts Thickers, and Misc: Twine, buttons, brads, coordinating chalk.

Did you count? 8 photos...gotta love that! Another thing that makes me totally happy is Bella Blvd.'s Finally Fall Collection! I really do love everything they put out, but I do love a fun Fall collection. This collection was the perfect bit of whimsy for the pics of my girls playing at our school's Fall Carnival!

And I did mention a tip...remember? Well, every month on the Right at Home Blog I will be sharing how I create handmade embellishments on my layouts. This month I created the leaves that you see sprinkled around my layout. The leaves were soooo super easy to create! To create the leaves, I went to the "Clip Art" feature of my computer, searched for leaves, printed them, cut them out, traced them on patterned paper, cut them out, and DONE!!! The cutest little leaves around!! I do this trick ALL of the time...so easy.

I'm So Excited...I'm So Excited!!

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! Yep, I 'm in New York right now visiting my sister, and today I get to meet my sweet friends from Right at Home Scrapbooking! I have been on the team for going on 2 years now, and I love it!! How cool is this, right? To get to meet scrappy friends over 1000 miles away! So my day will be full of FUN times with friends, my sweet sister, and TONS of scrappy products...can't beat that!!

The Perfect Bow!

Hi there! Right at this very second I am sitting in Long Island, New York visiting my little sister. It is quiet, I have no mouths to feed, and no laundry to wash....sigh. I am in heaven....well, kinda. I am already missing my hubby and my rug rats!! I think a mani and pedi might just do the trick, what do you think?

I used Jillibean Soups new CHA release Blossom Soup...why does food keep coming up? Lisa from Right at Home sent me this sweet line a few weeks ago, and I think I have used just about every scrap!! I used a few pics of my little man jumping on his new toddler bed that was gifted from the Bolyers. Thanks Bolyer family! ;) The Dawson Collection was just perfect for my little one growling at the camera and bouncing up and down!

Some Right at Home Love!

At my home, Valentine's Day is all about the girls! My Chris and Brock showered us with roses and treats this Valentine's Day, and we just relished in it!! I am soooo super proud of myself this year because we took a picture! We never do, and I always regret it. Here is a pic of us girls in front of our beautiful gifts.

Sweet, huh? Well we finished off the evening with pink heart pancakes, strawberry milk, and a basket full of goodies for each of the kiddos. This has become a tradition for us on Valentine's Day morning, but getting this together before we had to run off to school was just not possible! Anyhoo, we had a blast and a wonderful Heart Day!

Now on to something scrappy! This month Lisa from Right at Home Scrapbooking sent me goodies with lots of pinks and reds just in time for Valentine's Day. Here is a look at a few projects using My Mind's Eye.

Ok, So I'm Playing Catch Up Again!

Is it ok to say that I have been having my boo-tay handed to me! I'm not sure if everyone knows this adage, but it means I am running here, there, and everywhere. The kids have started basketball, and we are having tons of fun with that...no, really I mean it. They are loving it, and Brock is loving the fact that we constantly keep his popcorn bag full. No, it is not because he needs a snack for a few hours or that he is REALLY hungry, it is purely a coping mechanism for Chris and I.

We are also getting ready for high stakes testing here in Louisiana...sigh. Not only for my kiddos that I teach, but Annalise too. She is super nervous, but doing very well. She is attending tutoring twice a week, and wow...just, lots to do.

Anyhoo, I do have a few scrappy things to share. First up, the February Sketch from Right at Home. Take a look...

I used the lovely Socialite Collection by Bella Blvd...love it!! I REALLY love the die cuts. Bella Blvd. has a 12 X 12 die cut paper, and it is oh so yummy! Here is another layout from January at Right at Home...

Lots of pictures, huh? I was really feeling the need to be done with these Christmas pictures. It was pretty easy to create. Once I got the grid of pictures and patterned paper figured out, all I had to do was embellish was a few spaces.

Merry Belated Christmas and Happy Belated New Year!!

I have missed you guys...no really! Like you can obviously tell, I have been on a little bloggy hiatus. Things get a tad busy around here. First we had to prepare for Santa's visit, and then he left, leaving three-fourths of Target on my living room floor! Here are a couple of pics from our fabulous holiday...

We brought in the New Year quietly with "2011" pancakes on the morning of January 1st...what a treat!

I sure hope that you had a wonderful holiday! We did, but it came and went too quickly. We are now back at school and it is full steam ahead!!
